New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire is planning on returning to the lineup next Wednesday when the Knicks play the New Jersey Nets. If all things go smoothly, Stoudemire will play on the 18th and will be going up against the rivals across the river.
The All-Star forward has been facing back injuries for quite some time and he missed basketball for 18 days due to this latest snag. Stoudemire had a similar injury in last season's playoffs and that left Carmelo Anthony with very little support around him. The Knicks went on to lose the series in four games and they are hoping Stoudemire is healthy for this post-season.
With him coming back to the roster next week, Stoudemire should be at full form for the last stretch of the regular season. The Knicks need to make sure Stoudemire and Anthony are on the same page, and getting them some playing time together will surely help.
