New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire will have an MRI on his back which he injured during the Knicks' 101-79 win over the Detroit Pistons. Stoudemire first injured his back in the Knicks' opening round post-season series versus the Celtics and it took him some time to get it to 100 percent.
Stoudemire did not take part in the Knicks' shoot-around today and will undergo the MRI sometime later in this day. As a result, Stoudemire is questionable for tonight's game versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Knicks should be cautious with Stoudemire and ought to make sure he is ready to go before he hits the court. The Knicks struggled mightily without Stoudemire in the playoffs last season, and if he is injured again this time around, the Knicks will not have a lot of success in April.
