Anthony Weighs in on Player BRI Issue

Written by on August 7, 2011 in News - No comments

At a charity event in Puerto Rico, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony weighed in on the current NBA lockout situation. When one reporter asked Anthony about the BRI (Basketball Related Income) split in the CBA, he said, "If you ask me, I’d say 57 percent of existing players is fair."

The BRI is just one of the many problems in the labor negotiations. The BRI ties in with the revenue sharing among teams and among teams and players. Anthony, along with the rest of the players, are more concerned with the hard-cap salary idea brought forward by the team owners.

Well at least one NBA superstar is talking about the lockout situation.
