The New York Knicks have lost out on Steve Nash, but it seems as though they have acquired another future Hall-of-Fame point guard. Jason Kidd is one of many talented point guards in this free-agency class and at first he was headed back to the Dallas Mavericks. However, ESPN's Marc Stein reports that Kidd will leave the Mavericks at the last minute and will join the New York Knicks.

With Kidd now with the Knicks, the front-office will go after Jeremy Lin or Raymond Felton. Kidd may or may not be the starter for the squad come opening day, but either way, he will be a great mentor for Lin and Felton
