Raymond Felton is returning to New York City, this time to team up with Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. Felton was traded in 2011 to the Denver Nuggets in a deal for Anthony, but now those two will finally have their chance to play together.
The Knicks acquired Felton in a sign-and-trade along with Kurt Thomas from the Trailblazers in exchange for Dan Gadzuric, Jared Jeffries, 2016 second round draft pick and the rights to two European players.
Felton was playing at an elite level in his short time with the Knicks and he developed a lethal combination with Stoudemire. With Felton now running the point, the Knicks have one of the best starting fives in the league.
During his tenure with the Knicks, Felton averaged 17 points and nine assists.
Felton has reportedly signed a three-year, $10 million contract.
