Carmelo Anthony Dealing With Sore Elbow
New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is dealing with soreness in his right elbow and is rehabbing the injury at the Knicks’ practice facility. As a result of the bum elbow, Anthony is having trouble lifting weights and shooting the ball. According to Anthony, the pain in the elbow began early in the season during his time with Denver and flared up in February after he was traded to the Knicks.
“When I shoot it’s hard for me to follow through after a shot, it’s just painful,” Anthony told the NY Post. Anthony tried his best to carry the Knicks to a first-round victory versus the Boston Celtics, but the pain in his elbow was unbearable.
To make matters worse, Carmelo Anthony will stop receiving treatment from the Knicks medical staff if a lockout does indeed reach the league. The lockout prohibits players to communicate with the teams, and this will have serious repercussions on Anthony’s injury.
