The New York Knicks will be going into training camp with their nucleus intact and a chance to grow with coach Mike Woodson. The Knicks did not have a lot of time to prepare for the 2011-12 season due to the lockout, and they had a change in the locker-room towards the end of the season.
However, Carmelo Anthony is excited to work with Mike Woodson and he expects great things for the team. Anthony understands the importance of chemistry and this team will now have enough time to grow with each other, New York Post.
“That’s big,” Anthony said Monday of having Woodson in place. “I think coming into camp if you can have a group of guys that’s known playing with each other, that’s been around guys, been around each other for a long period of time, you start building from there, you start getting used to each other.”
The Knicks will have two post-season runs under their belt and should play much better next season. Anthony and Stoudemire will continue to build chemistry and that will help this young team.
