The New York Knicks are coming off a great win over the Atlantic Division leading Philadelphia 76ers and with their victory, the Knicks hold the tie-breaker if the teams were to have the same record at the end of the season.
The Knicks are making a big push for the top seed in the division, something they need if they want to avoid the Bulls or Heat in the first round.
The Knicks now trail the Sixers by only three game in the division and it looks like the teams will be battling it out until the final game of the season.
"It's been our goal," Anthony said about winning the division title. "That's never changed."
If the Knicks claim the top spot in the conference, they will be guaranteed a top four seed in the Eastern Conference and they will not have to play the two best teams in the East. Although the Knicks can pull an upset without winning the division, it will boost their confidence and give them an easier route if the claim the Atlantic.
