New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is currently listed as day-to-day after injuring his groin during the fourth quarter of the Knicks' game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Anthony played through the pain, but despite finishing the night with 28 points, he was grimacing for the majority of the fourth quarter.
Anthony will be re-evaluated on Tuesday and the Knicks are hoping this injury will not force Anthony to miss any games.
“I don’t think it’s too bad; I just want to take it day by day,” Anthony told ESPN New York. “Tomorrow, [I'll] get re-evaluated and see what happens from there"
Anthony already missed seven games this season with a injury to the same groin. The Knicks are already dealing with injuries to Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, so they cannot afford to lose another star.
