As many of you already know, today marks the tenth anniversary of the horrific attack on New York City, Washington D.C. and all of America. Ten years ago today our country changed dramatically, as it was thrust into a war few of us expected.
In the ten years since the attacks the country has returned, relatively, to normal. However, today we want to take a minute to reflect on the tragedy itself and send our thoughts and condolences to all the family members who were directly affected that day.
September 11, 2001 will forever be a day marred with tragedy and heartbreak. But through the flames and the smoke there were glimmers of hope. We were able to experience people helping people. On a day filled with so much hatred, we salute those who showed endless amounts of love.
As citizens of New York, and more importantly the United States, everyone here at Daily Knicks wants to offer our gratitude to the brave men and women who served our country on that Tuesday morning ten years ago, but also to those who continue to serve it today.
