Former New York Knicks president Donnie Walsh likes the way this Knicks team is playing and is in love with Mike Woodson's style of play. Although Walsh was the man who hired Mike D'Antoni, he enjoys seeing his former team succeed with another coach.
“I love what they’re doing,’’ Walsh told The Post yesterday from his Indiana home. “I love how (Woodson) is doing it. He’s got the team playing good basketball. And it’s all about basketball now.’’
The Knicks are still behind in terms of their defensive attack, but they are winning games which should silence the critics for now. The offense is running smoothly and the stars are finally getting back to beating opponents one-on-one. At this point, only time can tell if this squad can compete in the playoffs, but one thing is for sure, coach Woodson is doing a great job.
He is undefeated in his time as coach, and things are looking much better in New York.
