Eddy Curry made his Miami Heat debut yesterday against the Lakers. Most Knicks fans do not miss his over-weight presence in a Knicks uniform, but the Heat fans/ Floridaians are getting know him as slimmer more positive veteran. Curry has worked extremely hard off the court to get in the right physical shape to be prepared for that moment. He reportedly lost upwards of 100 pounds since his last NBA game.

During his tenure in New York he was carrying a huge contract, lots of expectations, and countless injuries. When he did become somewhat healthy, he was battling internal demons with horrible murder of his ex-girlfriend/child's mother, which his son was there to witness. I've always been a Curry supporter, the skills were always visible, but the timing in his life with the Knicks just didn't work out. Now with the Heat, I root for him to succeed, expect when they play against New York of course.
