The New York Knicks played the Chicago Bulls last night, their first time on the court since beating the Bulls in an overtime thriller on Easter. Carmelo Anthony scored 43 points in that game and was the hero for the Knicks in the fourth quarter and overtime.
In this game the Bulls did not have Derrick Rose in the lineup, but they still found a way to win the game. The Bulls play with a more balanced offense without Rose and in this match, ten different players scored.
Richard Hamilton led the way for the Bulls with 20 points followed by Luol Deng with 19. The Bulls also held the Knicks to only 86 points, much better than their defensive performance on Sunday.
As for the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony was their leading scorer with 29 points. However, the team committed 17 turnovers and their poor play in the second quarter turned out to be the difference in the game. The Knicks were outscored 25-10 in that period, and played catch-up from that point on.
