Iman Shumpert Talks ‘Lockout League’ and Dunk Contest

New York Knicks rookie Iman Shumpert spoke to IamGM.com at the Impact Competitive Training Series, better known as ‘Lockout League,’ in Las Vegas. Shumpert commentated on how the opening days went and what he was trying to improve on most.

IamaGM.com:  Is there any specific part of your game that you have worked on this summer?

IS:  Yes- Knocking down that consistent shot.  Especially with all the double teams to Melo and Amare, knowing that I have dominant players on the team I know I have to be ready to knock down those open shots.

Shumpert also spoke about the possibility of entering the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. “Yeah, hopefully,” when asked if he would join the contest, “hopefully there is a season!

The Knicks have high hopes for Iman Shumpert, the former Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket. He was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and is hoping the lockout ends soon so that he can show the front office his true capabilities.
