New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert injured his knee during the first round of the 2012 Playoffs, and was sidelined for the remainder of the season. With Shumpert out, the Knicks lost a valuable defensive presence and eventually lost the series in five games.
Shumpert tore his ACL during the game, and he has been working to get back on the court ever since. As of this point, everything is going according to schedule and Shumpert is ready to make some major progress.
“They say I’m right on target with everything, I’ll be walking next week,” Shumpert told The Post. “I’m being really optimistic about it, really happy about it, hopefully it picks up soon.”
Shumpert had a very impressive rookie season and the Knicks relied on him often to stop the opponents' best player.
