Former New York Knicks head coach and General Manager, Isiah Thomas, has been working out with Amar'e Stoudemire at Florida International University. Thomas is currently the coach at FIU and he has been helping several NBA players prepare for next season, including all-star Chris Paul.
"There were several NBA players working out at FIU, including Atlanta’s Joe Johnson. None of this is surprising since FIU is located in a favored city among NBA players: Miami. Plus, Isiah continues to share a close relationship with some of the league’s top players. That would including Carmelo Anthony, Amar’e and more importantly, Chris Paul.
This is the reason James Dolan continues to lean on Isiah for advice, even though Isiah doesn’t have an official position with the Knicks."
Thomas has been criticized for his sub-par performance while with the Knicks, but he did play a role in bringing Amar'e Stoudemire to the 'Big Apple.' Knicks fans will likely forgive Thomas if he lands Chris Paul, which will form one of the best 'Big Threes' in the NBA.
