The New York Knicks are in a battle for the Eastern Conference playoffs and they could end up anywhere from the ninth seed to the sixth spot. If the post-season were to start today, the Knicks would play the Chicago Bulls in the first round, and if you tell Jared Jeffries, he is just fine with that.
Jeffries told ESPN 1050 Radio that he would be fine playing any team and he thinks the Knicks can match up well against anyone.
"I think that we've shown that if we come out with the focus that we've had over the last two weeks, we can play with anybody," he said. "We've done a great job defensively of locking in and following a game plan."
The Knicks are no doubt playing much better basketball and are shining with Carmelo Anthony as their star. However, with Amar'e Stoudemire expected to return next week, it will be interesting to see if the Knicks can continue their streak. The Knicks have played mediocre basketball with those two stars and only time will tell if they have figured each other out.
