One of the newest New York Knicks players, Jason Kidd, has apologized for his DWI charge last week. Kidd crashed his car into a telephone pole and was arrested on a drunk driving charge.
The incident occurred in the Hamptons late at night after a charity event Kidd had attended. He suffered minor injures after the accident and was treated at a local hospital.
Kidd issued an apology for the incident on Twitter.
Kidd writes Friday that he regrets ''any disruption my accident last weekend may have caused members of the community and want to thank the local authorities.''
