The New York Knicks brought in veteran point guard Jason Kidd to provide the team with stability and leadership. However, his tenure with the Knicks got off to the wrong start when Kidd ended up in cuffs.
The new Knicks guard crashed his car into a light pole and was charged with DWI. Kidd was at a charity event in East Hampton at the beginning of the night but later was found raging at club SL East.
Kidd, 39, was treated at Southampton Hospital, processed at the Southampton police station and then released from court on his own recognizance, officials said.
Driving under those conditions are clearly dangerous and Kidd must know better when making decisions.
