Jeremy Lin Makes Time’s 100 Most Influential List
New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin made Time Magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Lin changed the perception of Asian basketball players and proved to the world that anyone could make it in the NBA.
Lin was an undrafted player out of Harvard and was passed on by many teams. However, Lin got a chance to shine with the Knicks and became a world-wide star.
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan wrote the piece on Lin for the list and talked about his hardwork and dedication.
Contrary to what you might read, Jeremy, 23, is no overnight sensation. In fact, he achieved success the old-fashioned way: he earned it. He worked hard and stayed humble. He lives the right way; he plays the right way.
Lin is currently battling a meniscus injury and chances looks slim for him returning this season; however, his miracle run no doubt made an impact on the NBA and the basketball world.
