The New York Knicks avoided a sweep yesterday at the Garden and their next test will come on Wednesday when they play Game 5 in Miami. However, the Knicks will likely not have Jeremy Lin in the lineup despite their depleted lineup.
The Knicks are already without Iman Shumpert and they may lose Baron Davis. Lin was hoping to return sometime this series, but it looks like Game 5 will not be the right time for him.
"I'm going at this as if he's not going to play. That's how it's been here for the last month, month and a half, and that's how I'm preparing," Woodson said during a conference call [SI.com].
New York relied on Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire in their Game 4 win and those two players combined for 61 points. It will be difficult for them to put up those numbers on the road, but if any duo can do it, it's Anthony and Stoudemire.
Still, the Knicks will need big contributions from Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas on Wednesday if Lin cannot suit up.
