Knicks’ Grunwald Finishes Sixth in Executive of the Year Voting
New York Knicks’ executive vice president and general manager Glen Grunwald finished sixth in the NBA’s Executive of the Year voting. The Knicks added some nice pieces to their roster including J.R. Smith, Steve Novak and Jeremy Lin. However, perhaps the biggest acquisition for the Knicks was defensive player of the year Tyson Chandler.
Larry Bird of the Indiana Pacers won the award this season for his stellar job creating the young nucleus of the team. Rounding out the top five were San Antonio’s R.C. Buford, LA Clippers’ Neil Olshey, Chicago’s Gar Forman, Utah’s Kevin O’Connor.
Grunwald still has a lot of work in front of him as he has to figure out a way to turn this team into a title contender.
