The New York Knicks were in the center of the sports world this season, all thanks to the Harvard graduate by the name of Jeremy Lin. 'Linsanity' exploded over night and Lin became a world-wide celebrity. However, Lin is a restricted free-agent beginning July 1 and the Knicks may have trouble signing him.
New York has the ability to match any offer, but a team which has more salary cap could hurt the Knicks financially.
“We can keep him if we want him,” Grunwald said [New York Post]. “We do want to keep him. And I believe Jeremy has had a great experience here and I believe he wants to come back.’’
Lin could not help the Knicks this post-season due to injury so it will be interesting to see him work with Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire for a full season.
