Knicks Legend Named GM of Erie BayHawks

New York Knicks legend Allan Houston has been named the General Manager of the D-League's Erie BayHawks. The BayHawks were previously the affiliate team of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they have recently joined forces with the Knicks.

Houston was rumored to be a top candidate for the Knicks' vacant general manager position, but this agreement with the BayHawks derailed any possibilities.

Allan Houston currently ranks 4th on the Knicks’ all-time scoring list with 14,551 points and he represented the team in two NBA All-Star games (2000 and 2001). Houston spent his last nine NBA seasons with the Knicks and he averaged 18.5 ppg, 2.4 apg and 3.0 apg. Now he has the responsibility of overseeing a developmental league and assuring the players are ready for the NBA.
