With New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin out for the season with a knee injury, it seems as though Toney Douglas will see some more playing time. The Knicks are a little depleted at the point guard position, so this is the perfect opportunity for him to shine with the roster.
Douglas had been the starting point guard for the Knicks previously, but his playing time this season has been very limited. However, it looks like he will finally get some action on the court, New York Post.
“Toney gave us some positive minutes,” interim coach Mike Woodson said, insisting he saw enough to continue giving Douglas time. “He was probably a little nervous getting in there, but I thought once he got up and down the floor a few times, he looked pretty good moving around.”
Douglas was a solid player for the Knicks, but his shooting slump forced him out of the lineup. Hopefully he makes the most of his chance to play and gives the coaching staff a reason to put him on the floor more often.
