The New York Knicks met with unrestricted free-agent Marcus Camby today, and according to sources, the meeting went very well. There are several teams fighting to get Camby, including the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets.
Camby was supposed to meet with the Heat on Saturday but he postponed the session hoping the Heat could conjure up a sign-and-trade with the Houston Rockets. However, sources say the Rockets rather make a deal for Camby with the New York Knicks.
Camby is one of the best defensive centers in the NBA and the Knicks could really use his presence. If they can add Camby to the roster, the Knicks will further strengthen their front-court.
