The New York Knicks have made Mike Woodson their new long-term head coach, and it seems as though he was really their only option. According to Gren Grunweld, the Knicks never considered Hall-of-Fame coach Phil Jackson.

Jackson won 11 championships as a head coach and many people expected him to consider a job offer from the Knicks. Jackson is a proven leader and he would have added another dimension to this squad; however, it seems as though the front-office had faith in Woodson.
