The New York Knicks found out before their game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers that they will be without Jeremy Lin for six weeks, and that news spread across the world. Not only did the locker-room feel remorse, but everyone was saddened by the bad news from New York.
Lin took over the NBA headlines and 'Linsanity' was being talked about everywhere. However, with the tear in his meniscus it seems as though 'Linsanity' will be taking a long break.
Several Knicks players spoke about the loss of Lin and all of them were sending their best wishes to the starting point guard, New York Post.
“It’s tough,’’ Anthony said of Lin’s absence. “ We want him to care take care of that. Basketball stuff comes second.’’
Tyson Chandler also chimed into the situation and he has faith that the guard will recover from his injury. “He’s so young, I think he’ll be fine,’’ Chandler said. “It’s not a veteran who has played a lot.’’
The Knicks will have to rely on Baron Davis for the remainder of the season and he has played well at the starting role. At this point, it seems like Lin will be joining the Knicks next season, unless Davis and the squad manage to make it to the second round.
