The New York Knicks played a marquee game today in South Beach against the defending NBA champions, the Miami Heat. The Knicks dismantled the Heat by 20 points in Nov., but in that game the team had Carmelo Anthony in the lineup.
In Thursday night's game, the Knicks were without Carmelo Anthony but the other players filled the void. Anthony injured his hand in the Knicks' game against the Bobcats, so the odds were definitely against them heading to their match versus the Heat.
Without Anthony, Raymond Felton led the Knicks in scoring with 27 points, followed by Steve Novak with 18. As a team, the Knicks shot 18-44 from the three-point line and managed to hold the Heat to only 12 points in the fourth quarter.
The Knicks played an extremely well game and they proved that they can be a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks beat the Heat without Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire, showing just how deep and talented they are
