Knicks Will Start Jeremy Lin, Have Jason Kidd Off Bench

Written by on July 12, 2012 in News - No comments

The New York Knicks are still a while away from the start of the season, but they are already thinking about their starting lineup. Knicks coach Mike Woodson said that Jeremy Lin will be their starter and veteran point guard Jason Kidd will come off the bench.

Knicks coach Mike Woodson confirmed on Wednesday that Lin, who has just 25 career starts under his belt, will start ahead of Kidd, the future Hall of Fame point guard.

The Knicks have a great point guard tandem with Lin and Kidd and it will be interesting to see how well they play together. Kidd had expressed a desire to play alongside the Harvard grad, before he officially signed with the team. Kidd understands the position extremely well and he can surely help Lin develop into an elite player.
