League and Union Fail to Reach Deal; No Future Meetings Scheduled

After 5.5 hours of talks in New York City, and despite such optimism yesterday, the league and players union did not agree to a new CBA. Many people thought that Friday would bring a lot of progress, but once again BRI split caused the sides the end their session.

Sources have told various media outlets that the league would make more cancellations and could possibly cancel the rest of November, but that claim has not yet been confirmed.

Just when it looked like the sides were inching closer and closer to a deal, the BRI blew everything up. No future meetings have been scheduled, but union President Derek Fisher called it a “day-to-day process.”
