Miami Heat’s PA Announcer Apologizes to Stoudemire

Written by on May 11, 2012 in News - No comments

The Miami Heat and public-address announcer Michael Baiamonte have apologized to New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire for comments made during Game 5. Baiamonte said Stoudemire was "extinguished from the game" after he picked up his sixth personal foul.

This was in response to Stoudemire cutting his hand after punching a glass enclosed fire extinguisher.

Stoudemire said the comment did not bother him, but nevertheless, it was an inappropriate comment by the PA announcer.
