NBA and Players Union To Meet Again Next Week

Written by on September 1, 2011 in News - No comments

After a six-hour meeting featuring high-level executives of both parties, the NBA and Players Union have decided to schedule another session next week.

The conference will most likely be held on Wednesday or Thursday, and will once again include only the leaders of both sides. This will be the third labor meeting since the owners locked out the players on July 1st.

The parties met yesterday in Manhattan for six hours, and fans were glad to see that there was some optimism at the end of the meeting. Although no progress was made in signing a new CBA, the league and Players Union both agreed that time is running out for their Labor Day deadline.
