New York Knicks Recall Jerome Jordan From D-League

Written by on March 8, 2012 in News - No comments

The New York Knicks have recalled center Jerome Jordan from the NBA Developmental League. The Knicks are a little shorthanded in their front-court and could use a big body like Jordan in the paint to help out Amar'e Stoudemire.

The Knicks will be without Tyson Chandler and Jarred Jeffries for a few games, so bringing in a player like Jordan could help the coaching staff fill the void.

Jordan played for the Erie Bayhawks in the D-League and appeared in five games for the team. In those games, Jordan averaged 18.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks, while shooting 48.5 percent in 32.6 minutes per game.

Jordan has spent some time with the Knicks before and scored a total of 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in 61 minutes of play.
