Even though the front-office has improved the team drastically on the court, the franchise also wants the players to wear something a little more aesthetically pleasing. The Knicks unveiled their new jerseys today and went back to a retro design donned in the 1980s and 1990s.
Amar'e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler raved about the jerseys and those two players are excited about the new change. Although redesigning their jerseys will have little impact on their play on the court, it is always a great idea to increase team morale.
At first look the most obvious change is the way the "New York" is laid out. The words are less arched than on the previous jersey and the numbers also seem to be elongated.
