Phil Jackson Won’t Rule Out NBA Return

Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson retired from the NBA last season after his Los Angeles Lakers were swept out of the 2011 NBA Playoffs. Jackson won five NBA championships during his time in Los Angeles and six while in Chicago. People consider Jackson as the greatest coach in all of professional sports and his eleven championships rings show just how effective he was as a coach.

However, rumors have said that the Zen Master may not be finished spending his days on the sidelines. Jackson won two championships as a player with the New York Knicks and some believe he may return to Madison Square Garden as a coach.

During the 2011 Hall of Fame award ceremony, Jackson told the press he is not sure whether he can stay away from the NBA for long. ”You can’t tell,” Jackson said. “I’ll know in October, November, December, January, February, whenever they start the season — what it’s like to be without ball again.”

What better way to solidity one’s career in New York City; be a part of the franchise’s first title and help the team reach basketball immortality several decades later.
