The New York Knicks have problems they need to fix on the court and the front office is doing whatever it takes to put together a championship team. Signings have been made and the Knicks have surely improved their roster. One of the additions was Jason Kidd, but he has already caused the team a lot of headache.
The veteran point guard was charged with driving while intoxicated shortly after he became a Knick, which was something no one wanted to hear. Kidd crashed his car into a light post and although he is currently doing fine, he may face consequences down the road.
According to the police, Kidd refused to take an alcohol test at the hospital.
The Southampton police told The New York Times that Kidd refused tests to measure the level of alcohol in his system. Kidd also declined a blood alcohol test at Southampton Hospital, according to the Times report.
Kidd will appear in court on Sept.12, but he has pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving while intoxicated. In addition, Kidd was also charged with refusing a breathalyzer and failure to stop, but his lawyer claims they were "traffic violations."
