Roger Mason Jr. Could Head Back to Israel
New York Knicks guard and Vice-President of the Players Union, Roger Mason Jr., may decide to take his talents to Israel. “Do I want to just stay out here in L.A. and play pickup?” Mason told NewsDay. “Or do I want to go into a structured situation in a beautiful country?”
Mason previously played for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C. in Israel, before making his way back to the NBA. A decision to head back to the country will be easy to make since Mason is a free agent. Mason is also not a marquee NBA player, so he would not be losing a lot of money by leaving the NBA.
However, I’m not sure how the Players Union will feel of one of its major leaders signs a contract with a team in another country.
