Although the NBA lockout is preventing players from hitting the courts across 30 cities, basketball will never stop. 70 NBA athletes will take their talents to Las Vegas and play in the "Impact Basketball Competitive Training Series." Beginning today, the Training Series will allow NBA players the chance to go up against their regular opponents.
The New York Knicks will be represented well in this summer league as six of their players will be headed to the Sin City: Chauncey Billups, Shawne Williams, Roger Mason, Jared Jeffries and rookies Josh Harrellson and Iman Shumpert.
Billups, Mason, Jeffries and Harrellson will not arrive until Wednesday as they have other tasks to take care of. Mason Jr. will partake in a labor meeting in New York City tomorrow as he tries to lift the infamous NBA lockout.
There has been some promising news involving the work stoppage and it seems as though fans will see their favorite players back in NBA uniforms soon. However, as for now we will have to settle with the Impact Basketball league.
