The New York Knicks have had trouble finding depth on their bench, but with the signing of J.R. Smith and the return of Baron Davis the coaching staff finally received some talented reserves.
To make things better, the team found out that Josh Harrellson and Iman Shumpert will return to practice on Tuesday, making their bench even deeper.
Harrellson has been sidelined since Jan 21. after fracturing his right wrist and Shumpert has been out since Monday due to left knee tendinitis.
At this point, Harrellson is cleared for full contact whereas Shumpert will be practicing on a limited basis. Harrellson will return to the lineup on March 4 when the Knicks play the Celtics, but Shumpert's exact return is not yet certain.
Both Shumpert and Harrellson provide the Knicks with great offense and both players provide the team with different assets. Shumpert is an explosive player who can insert a lot of energy and Harrellson is a big man who can stretch the floor and give Amar'e Stoudemire room to operate.
