Written by on June 23, 2011 in News - No comments

Current play-by-play announcer for 710 ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Spero Dedes, has decided to leave the L.A. market starting next season. Dedes has joined the 1050 ESPN Radio in New York and will call the games for the New York Knicks.

Dedes is a New Jersey native and attended Fordham University, so he is already quite familiar with the New York sports teams. Los Angeles was host to Dedes for six seasons, and he quickly gained popularity by his entertaining and professional broadcasts.

In addition to his time with 710 ESPN Los Angeles, Dedes also called several games for CBS during March Madness. In New York City, fans will have the opportunity to hear Dedes on the Radio and the MSG Network when Mike Breen is not available.
