Steve Nash is currently a member of the Phoenix Suns, but once July 1 comes along, he will have the chance to play with any team he wants. Nash will be an unrestricted free-agent and all signs point to him leaving Arizona. There will be a plethora of teams going after Nash in the off-season, including the New York Knicks.
Nash has a summer home in West Village, meaning he is quite close to the New York Knicks. The Knicks will be trying very hard to land the future Hall-of-Fame guard and they will likely begin that process on July 1. Although money will be a major issue for the Knicks when making an offer, Nash is still willing to speak to the team, New York Post.
“I would think [yes],’’ Nash said Wednesday on the soccer field before his charity soccer tournament. “I’ll meet with them if they’re interested. We’ll see what happens Sunday. I’m looking forward to what teams are interested and what they have to say."
If the Knicks cannot acquire Nash, they will still have Jeremy Lin to look forward to. However, adding Nash to the roster will make the Knicks into Eastern Conference contenders.
