Top Ten Knicks Stories of June 2011
Number 9- Spero Deded Joines 1050 ESPN Radio
Current play-by-play announcer for 710 ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Spero Dedes, decided to leave the L.A. station for the New York market. Dedes joined the 1050 ESPN Radio in New York and will call the games for the New York Knicks starting next season.
Dedes is a rising star in T.V. broadcasting and he was the favorite to replace Joel Myers as the Lakers’ next T.V. play-by-play man. Dedes, who grew up in the Tri-State area, will broadcast games on 1050 Radio and will fill in for Mike Breen on the MSG Network when needed.
