Tracy McGrady Works Out for the Knicks
The New York Knicks have their core players intact and the stars of this team are hoping they can bring the franchise to great heights. Still, the front office is looking to make some additions to team and create a strong bench. There is already a plethora of talented reserves on the Knicks, and according to Yahoo Sports, New York may be bringing in more players.
Tracy McGrady worked out for two teams this week, the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks. McGrady would be another veteran voice in the Knicks’ locker-room and someone that can provide offense off the bench. Although McGrady did not have a stellar season with the Hawks, he would make a nice fit in New York.
“Time is running out for the 33-year-old McGrady to secure a guaranteed contract for the season. Sources say he will likely have to choose between accepting a ‘make-good’ training-camp invite or going overseas.”
McGrady played for the Knicks in the 2009-10 season and suited up for 24 games. Although his long-term future with the team was always in question, he sparked some energy into the Knicks before the hectic 2010 free-agency summer.
