Tyson Chandler and Baron Davis to Play in Game 2
New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler and point guard Baron Davis will play in tonight’s Game 2 in Miami. Chandler had a very ineffective Game 1 as he was battling the flu and was a game-time decision. However, the defending champion will once again battle the illness and will suit up tonight, New York Times.
“I don’t feel 100 percent, but I feel better,” Chandler said.
Chandler was a non-factor for the Knicks on Saturday and they need a better effort out of him if they want to win.
As for Baron Davis, he will also play tonight despite a stiff back. Davis played only 18 minutes in Game 1 and admitted it was hard for him to bend down due to the stiffness.
“This is do or die,” Davis said. “That’s when the adrenaline kicks in, that’s when your focus has to kick in. You just have to play with what you have and play within your means.”
The Knicks can either return to Madison Square Garden tied 1-1 or could be facing an 0-2 hole for the second consecutive season. This is a big game for New York and it needs as much out of Chandler and Davis as possible.
