If things continue on their current road, the New York Knicks will play the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Knicks are playing much better basketball as of late and although they were swept in the regular season against the Heat, the Knicks players are still confident.
"I'm OK with it," Chandler said earlier this week about potentially playing the Heat. "We have to be willing to, if that's our matchup, to sit down, break down tape and really focus in....We haven't played smart basketball against them, not one time that we've faced them. We've played hard, but we haven't played smart and (you have to play) smart against a team like that."
The Knicks gave the Heat a good fight last Sunday and many people expect this team to challenge any opponent. The only thing standing in the Knicks' way is the chemistry between Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. If these two are on the same page, the Knicks can no doubt beat the Heat.
New York may be one of the only teams who can match up talent wise against the Heat and they can surely pull off a first round upset. The bench players for the Knicks are much more productive than the Heat's and with championship proven center Chandler in the paint, the Knicks are ready to 'shock the world.'
