Former New York Knicks forward Wilson Chandler has reportedly been offered a deal by both a basketball club in China and Italy. A Chinese club has offered Chandler $1.7 million, according to his agent Chris Luchey, but that deal may not happen because of the new CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) rule banning opt-out clauses.
Thus, the offer Chandler received from the Italian team seems like a more viable option for the ex-Knickerbocker.
Chandler was traded to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Carmelo Anthony in the block-buster trade. However, with Chandler gone the Knicks lost a valuable piece off their bench.
The Knicks' front-office was targeting Chandler in the future once he became a free agent, but this latest rumor may impede those interests.
